Ashes to Ashes

Ashes to Ashes is set in an alternate steampunk universe during a bloody war between two rival empires, the Dominion of Visia and the Kingdom of Northumbria. Caught in the crossfire is the strategically valuable port city of Embermire, currently besieged by the powerful Dominion army. As the siege drags on, living conditions in the squalid and overcrowded city worsen, leading to the outbreak of a deadly and highly contagious disease known as Iron Lung.

The player controls Dr John Mortimer, an intelligent yet war-weary medical doctor who arrives in Embermire to assist with managing the outbreak. A former surgeon in the Northumbrian army, Mortimer learned to treat wounded soldiers using cutting-edge medical technology that has led to the development of new techniques for treating the seriously ill. Mortimer believes he can use his knowledge and expertise to develop a way to eradicate the disease.
